Jack Carter (born Jack Chakrin on June 24, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York) was an American actor and comedian. After serving in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, he rose to fame by appearing on Milton Bearle’s Texaco Star Theatre show, and then started hosting Cavalcade of Stars. Two years later, Jack landed his own show on NBC, The Jack Carter Show, which lasted three years. Jack also made several appearances on Broadway, in shows like Mr.
